I have read many books by Bertrice Small over the years, but this particular work has been my favorite since 1991, when it was first released. I was so thrilled to see that I could purchase a Kindle version and immediately did so. It matters naught how many times I re-read this book; it is thoroughly enjoyed each and every time. The reincarnation + time travel aspect in ancient Wales is one that is dear to my heart.There is a second book, reincarnation + time travel, that I would also recommend and that is A Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Deveraux.Michele Doucette, Amazon Author

I read this book years ago when it was first released.I couldn't put it down then .When I saw it released for Kindle,I did not hesitate to purchase it again as I knew I would enjoy reading it a second time. I usually do not read books twice as there are so many out there to choose from ,but this one was well worth the time and money invested. The characters stay with you long after you have read the last page. The ending is not what you expect,but the epilogue makes up for it.I have many of Bertrice Small books ,but this is by far my favorite.

I purchased this in hard cover many years ago.Somehow lost the book, so I found and ordered it for my kindl.It's as great as I remembered!Wonderful read, I would highly recommend it!

This book has been one of my favorite, I just love the kings, queens, lords, maidens. I love the way they talk. Very good story line about reincarnation.

First read this book back in '92 when it originally came out. It's stuck with me and I finally decided to re-read and, surprisingly, it's aged quite well. The characters are "Small-esque" and the story was very original back in the day before the plethora of metaphysical romances.

This is truly one of my favorite books. I was never a reader and my mother gave me this book when I was 19. And it started my love of reading. I love snuggling down and falling into the pages of such a wonderful love story that I know I will enjoy for all time.

As usual I have been able to enjoy yet another example of Ms Smalls writings and marvelous description of a magical world only she can create

Even though she is no longer physically with us, her passion continues to reign from beyond. As a 16 year old my mother was forever trying to get me to read books. She gave me Skye O'Malley and I have been hooked ever since. I have read all of her books multiple times, I never tire of her vivid descriptions of the clothing, castles and personalities. I miss Mrs. Small!!!

I use the Plumb vet med books on a daily basis. Bought this and found that it does not contain half of the info the older version contained. Now I need to go buy the older paperback again. It is totally lacking in specifics and is nothing like the older versions. I am surprised and disappointed.

This is amazing. I originally bought this for a vet I am very fond of and who doesn't have a formulary. The one i use at work is bare minimum dosages and short 4 word descriptions on what they are used for. This offers so much more like side effects/reactions, contradictions, pharmacology, etc. It even has sections in the back about what household drugs can effect your pet, and more cool information like that. I really like how it's written and put together. I feel like everyone needs this if you're in this field, I even got one for myself.

I have had many formularies over my 32 year career, some excellent, some birdcage liner. Plumbs is, to me,my daily "go to" reference . The practice has a hardback copy and I have an electronic copy on my phone and tablet . I see they are pushing the e-book and provide continuous updates. As an accredited "Old Fart" I do like having a physical book, but I have to admit on my new phone, it is so much faster and useful, I am about to update mine as an e-book

I have both the hard copy and the Kindle version of Plumbs and find that I use the electronic version more often. The hyperlinks are accurate (on other books I've noticed they can be off by a few pages) and the format is very easy to use. I also like that I can highlight and bookmark frequently used dosages and make notes next to specific content. I find the notes are handy for the corrections emailed out by the author.My biggest complaint is the search feature. To access the main entry for a specific drug on the iPad version I must either go to the table of contents for the drug name or I can search for it. When I search for the drug, it pulls up all the entries where the drug appears in the book- as on would expect a search box to do. However, it would be nice for the first entry to be the main page for that drug rather than me scroll through the search results to find the main page (I.e. sort them by relevance and not page number).Other than that one gripe I'm very please by the purchase and I love having my Drug Handbook on hand via iPhone, iPad etc wherever I happen to be working at that moment.Plumb's Veterinary Drug Handbook

Absolutely disappointed with the quality of the print. I received a book missing pages 273-336...and only just discovered it as I had to refer to a drug from one of those missing pages. Imagine my surprise when I saw that 65 pages were missing from one of the most expensive veterinary texts in the industry. And, no, they weren't ripped out as you can see from the photos posted. I am going to check for further missing pages and do hope to receive a replacement soon!

As a veterinary pharmacist, I use this book several times per day -- sometimes dozens of times/day. My 7th Edition was a "handbook" size so I opted for the "desktop" version this time. I'm very impressed with the newly updated drug-monographs (and new additions) and the time spent to use citations of evidence based medicine for veterinary prescribing (FDA approved use, off-label use, dosing, mechanism, pharmacokinetics, available drug products, etc) . I also love the reference section at the end for laboratory values and other monitoring parameters a veterinarian or pharmacist may want to monitor during drug therapy. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is either prescribing and/or dispensing medications to veterinary patients of any species! This is a reference text you will not want to be without in clinical practice!!!!

When the box arrived I initially thought there must have been a mistake. I ordered 2 copies for my animal hospital and the box was big enough to hold two large city-sized phone books. Upon opening I realized the reason for the oversize box and suspect weight was that the books are considerably larger and thicker, and for good reason. More information (all the latest, of course), and larger typeset (which is helpful for all of us except maybe the newest of grads). Everything else is the same reliable Plumb we have become accustomed to going to for information throughout the day. If there is any problem at all its in that this volume is just a little too big to fit in the same spot in the "reference book drawer" in our pharmacy where the smaller version was kept. Come to think of it, the old Plumb spent most of its time on the countertop anyway!

It is what it is, needed for schooling. Book looks brand new. Only reason I've given 3 stars is because I found an ink splotch on one of the pages. May have happened during printing, this was just a coincidental find, so there may be others in my copy. I just plan on acquiring the missing information through another copy.

I've been coding Java servlets and JSPs since 2000. I've had this book since shortly after it was published and it's a frequent go-to resource. It covers pretty much everything you need to know. It may not always have exhaustive detail, but if there's a topic I've grown hazy on (I work on more than just servlets/JSPs) this book has a succinct, relevant passage to remind me.The only downsides are that this thing is the size of a Manhattan phone book (you have to be of a certain age to grasp what I mean) and it's not available on the Kindle. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it were.

This book takes you through a well structured learning journey of JSP, Servlets and related technologies such as Netbeans, Tomcat and MySQL for developing complete web apps. The book has provided me with the skill and confidence to start building my own web-app. The book finishes with a completed e-commerce example that builds on the earlier work, and gives the reader a basis for their own future development.The book provides comprehensive details on how to set up the environment for developing and deploying web-apps, with the installation of Netbeans, MySQL, libraries etc covered in the appendices. The set up is generally a difficult part of learning a new computer concept and this book explains this very well.The material, the downloaded code, and exercises are well integrated and provide for a comprehensive learning experience. I was able to successfully complete the vast majority of exercises readily.I have ordered the Murach Java book as I found the JSP and Servlets book very useful.COMPARED TO HEAD FIRST***********************I am a big fan of the Head First series, a series which has taught me everything I know about Java, XHTML, CSS, Design Patterns Ajax, OO Design etc. I love it. But as a novice, I found Head First Servlets and JSP: Passing the Sun Certified Web Component Developer Exam (SCWCD) difficult to get into. Mainly because the HF book is directed towards accreditation, and contains some curved balls to prepare for the exam that distracted me from learning.Instead, I did the Murach book from cover to cover, and skim read the HF book (partially because I am in love with that bossy HF girl!). The HF series is more fun and engaging, but for JSP and Servlets I found the Murach approach worked best for me. While the Murach book is as as well written and presented as can be expected of a more traditional text book, it is not as interactive as the HF series. I therefore found completing the exercises in the Murach book important for engaging with the content.Murach does a better job than HF on the MySQL and IDE side of things. HF probably covers the nuances of the Servlets more comprehensively.I recommend both, depending on what you need.

I used this book for my university course and I admit that it was extremely useful. Nothing is unclear and everything is explained in fine detail. All probable questions that may rise up in a student's mind are actually well anticipated and that makes a big difference in making that learning curve as short as possible.With the knowledge provided, this book will teach you how to make a fully working online e-commerce web application. Although aesthetics may not be its strong point, it is not all that hard complementing the book with a bit of online research to see how CSS (which is not covered) works and how to add a button or two in order to give it more professional looking graphical user interface. The real deal is actually "under the covers" in which servlets, database management, etc are alla layed out in a way that have a logic for what you're trying to achieve (online store). Sadly, when it comes to making an ebay-style web app, this book simply doesn't go that far. Thus I needed to search the web and many occassions to include what I thought was necessary. Maybe that could be the basis for a new Murach's book? In all, great book!

Murach's is the best book on the market today if you want to learn strictly how to program JSPs and Servlets. He covers various aspects of JSP and Servlet develop along with a crash course in HTML. I have gone through 18 chapters of the book thus far and have learned a great deal about Java web development. Every code example I have run just works (given you set them up and use them in a Netbeans and Tomcat environment). If you are interested in learning about how to code JSPs and Servlets this book is for you. This book does not get into a lot of peripheral info (no frameworks, no EJB, and only what you need to know to get Tomcat up and running as well as setting up mySQL). This book does not bog you down with a lot of extra info only what's needed to learn the basics (and then some) of Java web development. I would strongly advise any new JEE Developer or someone looking to brush up to purchase this book. The code examples you download from the site are great and each one can run independent of other chapters. There are a few chapters where you will need to set up mySQL database connection, but that is as complex as it gets (and even with that step the book walks you through the entire process). Looking forward to other JEE books from Murach.

I love Betty Rowlands' Melissa Craig novels. They are easy, entertaining reads with likeable main characters who are always drawn into engaging plot lines. Murder on a Winter Afternoon was no exception with its twists and turns and some very tense moments which all kept me in suspense to the end.Often wondered in which decade of the twentieth century these stories took place and this novel was the first time that someone was depicted using a mobile ( cell) phone, so I'm guessing the 1970's! Still an excellent read.

I have just started reading Cozy Mysteries recently. I cannot get enough. This book did not disappoint. Good plot, fun characters, and the story kept moving with lots of dialogue which I enjoy. I do have to admit that I figured out the villain early on.

It is a good series, seems more like it could have been written in the 1980s or such

Love discovering a fine author and the beginning of a new series to look forward to reading.

Excellent story, though a little short. Oh well, now the wait for the next one in the series.
