In general of course, this is perfectly reasonable, because science, done well, often removes myths, however the writer of this book, while certainly using good science, seems to me to be avoiding the more difficult questions. I am reminded of Egyptologists who insist the Great Pyramid was built by people using copper saws and only 100,000 men in 20 years. It falls short of the mark in what it is advertised as. The science is good though although the writing is pretty dry. My main sense was as if I was reading a debunking exercise on UFOs or something. I am sure there is no real cover-up by the way, it's just the writer's style that I found stifling.
